Children's Earlobe Piercings

 

My child wants their ears pierced, what should I know?

We are so happy you’re choosing to take them to a “real” shop instead of a mall kiosk!

ID requirements

To pierce a minor (anyone under 18 years old) we require the minor to have a form of ID: state or federal ID, passport, birth certificate, or school ID if over 12 years old. Their parent or legal guardian must be present at the time of piercing and provide their valid state or federal ID. If last names are different between parent and minor, we must have the birth certificate. If you are the legal guardian, we require legal guardianship papers, as well as ID for both you and the minor.

Expectations

Be honest with your kids! Telling them that piercings don't hurt is a lie, and does not benefit them. Have frank discussions about the procedure, aftercare, and living with their new piercings. We explain every step along the way, and try to set realistic expectations for them during the piercing and going forward.

Tell your piercer if they are in sports, swim, or do any activities where having earrings is not allowed or will cause problems. Sometimes it's best to wait until the off season. We will talk about it!

Consent

Please know that if your child says they don't want to proceed with the piercing, or behaves in such a way that indicates they are not ready for the piercings, we will not perform them. There is no financial penalty for this.

If you'd like, you can book in for a "consultation" appointment ahead of time, so you and your child have a chance to come in and see the place, meet the piercer, look at the jewelry, and ask any questions you may have :)

Procedure

First we check IDs and have you fill out a release form. Then we select the earrings! We have a huge selection of implant grade titanium threadless flatbacks to choose from. Next we bring you back into the piercing room, where we explain step by step the whole piercing process. Cleaning, marking, piercing. Along the way we discuss concerns, considerations, aftercare, and anything else. A thorough aftercare instruction is given at the end, with jewelry size written down, punches on your punch card, candy, and stellar new earrings :)

Jewelry & Pricing

A pair of earlobes for kids 5-12 years old with the basic jewelry included is $150. Basic jewelry for earlobes are implant grade titanium threadless flatbacks, and a titanium shape top (hearts, stars, moons, balls, disks, spikes, etc) We have loads of other options available for purchase, including gems, faux opals, cooler shapes, and more!

 

Minors aged 13-17 are subject to our standard pricing for all piercings. Please check the "piercing info" page for a full list of the price of each piercings and at what age we offer them. All prices include the basic jewelry (described above), or include an implant grade titanium internally threaded barbell (curved, straight, or circular), or captive bead ring

Other stuff

There MUST BE ONE ADULT PER CHILD PRESENT for piercing appointments. If a kiddo is getting pierced and has a friend or sibling along, there MUST be an additional adult for each kid. Our piercing rooms are huge, so there's plenty of room for everyone

​

The kiddo is welcome to bring a stuffy or other comfort item along. We always have squishies and fidgets available too

 

Please make sure that they've had a snack within 90 minutes of the appointment. We have water, juice boxes, crackers, and candy if need be, just ask!
